21 creating a safetech boot disk 1. locate the machine in the endpoint encryption manager, devices tab. 2. right-click on it and select properties. 3. select the general icon. 4. under options, scroll down until you find virus protection. 5. deselect the enable mbr virus protection option. 6. click apply. when the bios has been upgraded, the enable mbr virus protection option should be re-enabled and the machine synchronized. this will again protect the machine s boot sector.
